Talent could be described as God’s given unique difference to human being.According to BBC
english dictionary,talent was defined as a natural ability to do something well.

It was clearly discovered that out of 100% humans with talent,20% humans are making use of their talent wisely and dutifully,while 40% are flunctuating ,trying to achieve dreams that are not meant for them,and the remaining 40% don’t even have visions,neither do they have dreams at all.If you have a talent,make use of it for GOD,yourself and your society.

we all possess different spiritual talents and until we seek or pray for it we can’t have it,and even after having it we must use it for the glory of God by being open minded to those who will benefit from it.Also we have physical talents e.g Writing articles,gospel novels,christian motivational scripts,art works,sports,singing,acting on stage,wisdom in speaking and alot more.We must make sure our talents are used to Honour our creator,just as it was written in the Holy Bible that”LET THE WORLD SEE YOUR GOOD WORKS,THAT THEY MAY GLORIFY YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN”

Talent is never meant for selfish interests but rather to develop ourselves and our society.
Talent must be discovered,the world would bow before you and heaven would be glorified.

TO GET A CLEARER CONFIDENCE OF YOUR TALENT,YOU MUST PRAY TO GOD FOR HIM TO SHOW YOU WHERE YOUR TALENT WOULD BE NEEDED AND HONOURED.

I discovered my talents by doing what i like doing most,i discovered that script writing and acting on stage are what i like doing most,once i hold my pen..Whatever the topic is,in as much as it is not corrupt i feel comfortable to write it and this gets me inspired because it is confirmed that i was created for a greater purpose and task.
Talent must not be used to oppress the less privileged(those who d0 not have such talent),rather it must be a source of inspiration to everyone around us.He who oppresses with His/Her talent would surely be stripped off such talent..Remember what was said in Luke chpt. 19 vs 26”FOR I SAY UNTO YOU,THAT UNTO EVERYONE WHICH HATH SHALL BE GIVEN; AND FROM HIM THAT HATH NOT, EVEN THAT HE HATH SHALL BE TAKEN AWAY FROM HIM” . I pray our dreams and talents would not be taken from us through our Pride and segregating lifestyle.

FINALLY, be contentented with whatever talent God has given you,your talent can save our Nation,your dreams can turn this country back to JESUS.

THE WINNERS MENTALITY


Winning is a word that is exciting to hear and great to be associated with but only a few people ever taste it. Every person want to be associated with a winner(champion).

People like stars are celebrated in society because they have emerged ‘winners’ in there respective field. Loosers are shuned and most times loosing is associated with shame. no wonder most people when they loose they cant withold tears.

There isnt any big difference therefore between a winner and a looser. Lets look at two football teams. They all have equal number of players, had the same period in which to prepare, have same chances of scoring but only one team will be crowned.

This shows that life displays the same opportunity to a winner as it does to a looser. The bible says in proverbs that the poor and the rich have one thing in common: God. this means God equips every person with ‘equipment’ for making it in your life and how far you will go in bring this potential out to be a victor in life is entirely dependant on you.Look at a classroom set up.

The same teacher delivers the topic to all students. they have the same books to study, same duration in which to write the exam and yet they score different marks. Some settle for 40,50 and other get 90,100 percent.The difference is with the way the minds are employed to yield.

Everyone reading this is a potential winner, potential millionare,potential successful bussinessman, potential proffessor.

The solution is in your hands and not in any one else’s. Your background is not an issue. hey! Check out some of the most successful bussiness giants in the world, they dont have a formal educational background and yet they feed graduates. This leaves you and i with an interesting thought.

Educational qualification doesnt equal to success. We have people with degrees and yet they are not successful. What counts is how wide you engage your mental faculties to advantage you in your pursuit of life.

So the answer you have be looking for is not far fetched. its right above your neck.
you have what it takes to make a difference in your life, family and country. Once you begin to think beyond your current level, begin to see beyond your nose then you will become a force to reckon with.

Someone said ‘opportunity is usually missed by most people because it comes dressed in an overose and looks like work’. Opportunities are lying idle every where waiting for men to open there eyes, engage their minds and explore them. Dont wait for a 100million loan to get you started in bussiness, you can start where you are and with what you have. You can start with a ‘Kantemba’ to a shop to a mall. Starting small is not wrong but staying small is not good. Some people started small and today own airlines, others also started small and today they are even smaller.

You have ideas in you head that are begging to be released and explored. You have potential inside you that is wailing to be unveiled to this generation.

2015, MY FIRST REQUEST..


Camera 360My first post for this year, i congratulate everyone of us for seeing and witnessing once again another new year… At about past 12am yesterday at church DURING THE CROSS OVER NIGHT….The vicar asked us to tell God what we want this year, then i sat adn while everyone was busy praying with a roaring force as tho heaven will fall, i was thinking carefully of what to ask God and wonderfully something hit my mind like a pushed rock…. it was ‘’success’’ that came to my mind..
Oops, i was not contented with my hearts repy, so i kept on thinking but lo, success kept on ringing the alarm in my heart, and so i prayed for success..(lol, all these took place within 3mins)
We got home at about past 2p.m after surviving series of banger/ knockout attacks at the church compound… on getting home, dad called us for family prayer which we did and we all dashed into our various rooms… i decided to watch a movie cuz i wasn’t feeling sleepy at all, then i remembered my first request in 2015…. ‘’Lord,make me successful in everything’’
sounds like every normal prayer, right?

But then i sat and thought about it, why pray for success….. then i started to write what came to my mind…..
Success…achievement of ones aim or goal, success is a broad word and it spreads through every area of ones life… let me broaden our knowledge about success..
Success can be found in so many categories.. academics, spiritual, finance,marital,profession,health e.t.c
I would have felt bad if i only prayed for an upliftment in my academics or financial upgrade, oh ! i would have felt stupid.
I knew success encompasses all these things and if i wanted all…. i just need to be successful in all…

A man of God is not reconed with, by God or man except he is successful in his ministry as a spiritual father of the nation….. that the success i asked for

A student is not duely respected by teachers,lecturers and course mates except he has attained a level of success for any class he is in…. thats the success i asked for
A man is not honoured or celebrated except he is successful financially…thats financial success from God..
N.B : I am not talking about being the richest man in the world, of course it isn’t the real success but being wealthy and generous is success.
A man is not proved responsible and manly enough if he can’t cordinate his family,spread love amidst his children and be celebrated as a father… wow! , marital success .
A man is not seen as a role model, an icon or a mentor if he is not successful in his choosen field… thats success in profession.
A man is not fit enough if he is not successful health wise, health is weath… therefore, health is needed to be successful….
And many more……
So, i prayed for the right thing… i can’t make heaven if i am not successful in christ Jesus…. yea

The same i pray for everyone reading this post…You shall be successful in every ramification.

Yesterday, most of us Christians celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ, and alot of us were rejoicing, dancing, singing, eating and drinking…well, it is a good thing, but

What is the essence of celebrating the birthday of someone that is not welcome?

Why the eating a drinking for a child that is not in the family?

Here is a short story to illustrate and expose my concern.
About five women(in their early 30’s) coupled with their husbands were seen at a resturant rejoicing, eating and drinking, they were having fun and disscussing with laughter. Few minutes later, an old friend also came to the resturant to get drinks for her family and then saw one of the women who happens to be her friend, so the friends asked anxiously…. what are you celebrating here because i can see the happiness on peoples faces? And then the woman replied, we are celebrating the birthday of my son who clocked two(2) years today. The friend was very happy and so she asked joyfully, where is the child?..
The mother replied with smiles, ooh.i dropped him off with my mother so as to take care of him….. ABSURD!!! ………. A child whom they all are celebrating his birthday with fun, drinking and eating was not even welcomed at his own party….

That is ridiculous !

The same with us all, we celebrate the birth of Jesus with drinking and eating but the truth is that…. is he welcomed into our lives? Or we are just celebrating in vain….. has He taken over the day or we are in-charge. Why celebrate Jesus when most of us have not given Him the chance to control our lives and direct our path.
Christmas is truly a time to rejoice but it is also the time to reflect upon our past and set things right again, a time to accept Jesus into our lives, if we havent.
From me, I wish you all a merry Christmas and a unique new year in ADVANCE……

Kimani Ng’ang’a Maruge (1920 – August 14, 2009) holds the Guinness World Record for being the oldest person to start primary school—he enrolled in the first grade on January 12, 2004, aged 84.[1] Although he had no papers to prove his age, Maruge believed he was born in 1920.
Maruge attended Kapkenduiywo Primary School in Eldoret, Kenya; he said that the government’s announcement of universal and free elementary education in 2003 prompted him to enroll.

In 2005 Maruge, who was a model student, was elected head boy of his school.

In September 2005, Maruge boarded a plane for the first time in his life, and headed to New York City to address the United Nations Millennium Development Summit on the importance of free primary education

Maruge’s property was stolen during the 2007-2008 post-election violence, and he contemplated quitting school.During early 2008 he lived in a refugee camp, where he was reportedly a minor celebrity, four kilometers from his school, but still attended classes every day.In June 2008, he relocated to the capital Nairobi.

In June 2008, Maruge was forced to withdraw from school and relocate to a retirement home for senior citizens. However, soon after, on June 10, 2008, Maruge enrolled once again into grade 6 at the Marura primary school, located in the Kariobangi area of Nairobi.

Good morning readers, I was surfing the internet and then I came through this wonderful and pathetic history of an hopeful man named Spafford, after reading the story; I felt down and I pitied the man…. We all sing the song but few people have taken the time to read and discover the origin of the song and state of the writer….. Pls read and share with friends…

It is Well with My Soul

Horatio Spafford (1828-1888) was a wealthy Chicago lawyer
with a thriving legal practice, a beautiful home, a wife, four
daughters and a son. He was also a devout Christian and
faithful student of the Scriptures. His circle of friends
included Dwight L. Moody, Ira Sankey and various other
well-known Christians of the day.
At the very height of his financial and professional success,
Horatio and his wife Anna suffered the tragic loss of their
young son. Shortly thereafter on October 8, 1871, the Great
Chicago Fire destroyed almost every real estate investment
that Spafford had.
In 1873, Spafford scheduled a boat trip to Europe in order to
give his wife and daughters a much needed vacation and
time to recover from the tragedy. He also went to join
Moody and Sankey on an evangelistic campaign in England.
Spafford sent his wife and daughters ahead of him while he
remained in Chicago to take care of some unexpected last
minute business. Several days later he received notice that
his family’s ship had encountered a collision. All four of his
daughters drowned; only his wife had survived.
With a heavy heart, Spafford boarded a boat that would take
him to his grieving Anna in England. It was on this trip that
he penned those now famous words, When sorrow like sea
billows roll; it is well, it is well with my soul..
Philip Bliss (1838-1876), composer of many songs including
Hold the Fort, Let the Lower Lights be Burning, and Jesus
Loves Even Me, was so impressed with Spafford’s life and
the words of his hymn that he composed a beautiful piece of
music to accompany the lyrics. The song was published by
Bliss and Sankey, in 1876.
For more than a century, the tragic story of one man has
given hope to countless thousands who have lifted their
voices to sing, It Is Well With My Soul.

Over the years, I have
been forced to ask myself
so many questions; I have
been forced to know why
the wise are wise and why
the foolish are foolish.
During the course of my
research, I realized that
the wise and the foolish
both have 24 hours and in
the course of using this 24
hours, they do almost the
same things. I had to go
further in my research and
then discovered that in
doing these same things,
there are a whole lot of
differences. These
differences distinguish
the wise from the foolish.
I will begin explaining
these differences in
similarity which will be
released in 2 parts.

DIFFERENCE IN SIMILARITY 1:
The wise and the foolish both procrastinate.
The Wise Man procrastinates about the less important things ( watching a movie, visiting a friend for less important
discussion) so he can create more than enough
space for more important things.

The Foolish Man procrastinates about the more important things (reading books, doing important projects and assignments, making important decisions) so he
can create more than enough space for less important things.

DIFFERENCE IN SIMILARITY 2:
The wise and the foolish sleep late.
The Wise Man sleeps late as a result of carrying out relevant planning (visions
to be laid out, goals to be set, plans to be activated,
critical thinking and brainstorming).

The Foolish Man sleeps late as a result of giving too much relevance to irrelevant activities (watching movies, playing games, irrelevant chats, arguments and discussions).

DIFFERENCE IN SIMILARITY 3:
The wise and the foolish work hard.
The Wise Man works hard in the sense that he is always involved in planning. He plans on how his business will grow, how he can achieve his goals to establish his vision, how he can ensure that things work out as planned; he is always trying new techniques, ideas and innovations. He is always busy just to ensure that everything he does flourishes.

The Foolish Man is alsoinvolved in hard work because he spends most of his physical and mental energy to ensure that the wise man achieves his vision. He is not ready to
pass through the stress and rigors of thinking and bringing out ideas for himself. He prefers to work for the wise man, get paid and go about doing other irrelevant activities.

DIFFERENCE IN SIMILARITY 4
The wise and the foolish both know about opportunities.
The Wise Man understands that opportunities are everywhere, so he looks for them. When he finds these opportunities, he make all best use of them. Just like when Joseph was in the prison with one of Pharaoh’s chief servants – he saw it as an opportunity When the servant was released from the prison, Joseph asked him to tell Pharaoh about him. After a while, the servant told
Pharaoh about Joseph and when Joseph had the opportunity to speak to Pharaoh, he utilized it. David also saw Goliath as an opportunity others did not see and he used it to get a step closer to being the next king of Israel. Wise people see their search for opportunities
as one of their reasons for genuine success.

The Foolish Man blames his being poor on lack of
opportunities. He very often uses words like “If I had my Masters degree, I would have been better than this”; “If I had known this man, I would have been richer than this”. He does not look for opportunities; he expects
opportunities to come knocking and even when an opportunity comes, he is never prepared.

DIFFERENCE IN SIMILARITY 5:
The wise and the foolish spend money.
The Wise Man invests his money first and spendswhat is left. He spends his money on his needs and his important wants. He doesn’t spend his money to buy all that his heart desires to buy; he spends his money on things that
are actually necessary at that particular period of time. He takes the pain to cut his spending so he can also start saving for future investments. He is very accountable and
prudent in his spending. The Foolish Man spends all he earns and invests little or nothing from what he earns. When he gets money is when he remembers that he is meant to buy these, he is supposed to pay for these and go shopping for that. He has little or no plan for saving
and most times he doesn’t have any plan for present
or future investments. He is not accountable and prudent in his spending.

I am sure you have learnt something important from the first five similarities in difference. Always remember that it is not about reading the article, but applying what you have learnt to bring out a better you.

Discover The Real You

Introduction
Who are you and why are you here? It may seem like a straightforward question. Most would
answer by giving their name without giving it much thought. However, on deeper reflection, do you really understand who you are?
Our world today has one great irony that is mind-boggling: the majority of people in the world are trying very hard to conform to what someone else wants them to be. It is often so subtle that we fail to realise that is what we are doing.
As Sarah McLachlan points out:
“We’re constantly being told what other people think we are, and that’s why it is so important to know yourself.”

It happens at many levels. For instance, television bombards us with images of how we should look and dress, what we should eat and drink, what car we should drive and even what kind of person we should marry. Some even go as far as telling us how to fall in love!
We look around us for things that will help us define who we are. In-fact the majority of people have no sense of identity apart from the clothes they wear, the car they drive, where they live, who they are married to and so on.
If we had to strip you of everything you own and leave you on some island away from everything you think defines you,
Would you still have a clear sense of who you are?
What defines you?

DISCOVER the real you –
Some would think of themselves in terms of their body. The image of their face and body defines who they are. If we were to remove you from your body, would you still know who you are? It sounds weird, I know, but understand that man is a spirit; he lives in a body and has a soul. Your body is simply a means of expressing
yourself and interacting with your physical environment.
So your body is not really who you are. At the core of it, you are more than that. In-fact that is why it is so hard for people to fully understand and appreciate who they are. Who you are cannot be seen, touched, smelt, heard or tasted. Your senses cannot tell you who you are. The concept of self in the true form is something beyond the grasp of our physical bodies and senses. We are complex beings. We cannot be defined by the things
around us, but by the things within us. I believe that in essence we are what we think. Physically as human beings we are all essentially the same.

It is our thoughts and experiences that differentiate us.

DISCOVER the real you – your true identity
Our true identity, then, lies within us, not outside of us. We should define who we are based on our thoughts, our values, principles and beliefs. It’s okay to have material things and all, but they should not be our sense of self. They are just things that are there to make our lives
easier. If you were suddenly homeless today that would not change who you are as a person. You would still be you. What is the importance of all this, you might ask?

Ralph Waldo Emerson warns that “The greatest difficulty is that men do not think enough of themselves, do not consider what it is that they are sacrificing when they follow in a herd, or when they cater for their
establishment.”

So you are sacrificing something when you go through life blindly conforming to everything. You sacrifice your true potential and purpose, which you can only fulfill when you truly understand yourself.

Discover the real you – THE ANSWER LIES WITHIN
Look within yourself, not without. For everything begins and ends with your thoughts.

Sidney J. Harris adds that “Ninety percent of the world’s
woe comes from people not knowing themselves,
their abilities, their frailties, and even their real
virtues. Most of us go almost all the way through
life as complete strangers to ourselves.”

It may seem like an overstatement, but it is so. Many lack an understanding of who they are, without which they are unable to know what they care capable of achieving in life. In the days of slavery in Europe and America this was well understood. Black people were forced to change their names to Western names so they would not remember who they really were.
Furthermore, they were banned from knowing how to read or write. That should make the lights flash in someone’s head. The reason this was done was that their masters knew that if they knew how to read they would discover many things, not only about the world around them, but about themselves. Their minds would be
stretched to new levels of understanding.

THE road to self discovery
Reading is a powerful means of discovering who
you really are. If you read the right books and other material you will gain a deeper understanding of others as well as yourself. Unfortunately, there are many who are in a self- imposed prison of ignorance even today. The books are all around them. They just don’t want
to read. The culture of reading is not well established in many Zambians. For such people

Atwood H. Townsend has some timely advice:
“No matter how busy you may think you are, you must find time for reading, or surrender yourself to self-chosen ignorance.”

CONclusion
Choose not to live in ignorance about who you are and what you can do. Decide today to discover more about yourself and to start on the journey of self discovery.

My best recommendation –
read your Bible. Without it, you may never know who you really are.
In the words of James Allen, “Only by much searching and mining are gold and diamonds obtained, and man can find every truth connected with his being if he will dig deep into the mine of his soul.”

You are all you can be. Go on and be it.
